About Ceci
Cecilia Fernández, a native of Argentina, began expressing herself through art at a young age. As a one-year-old, she asked her mother for something to draw with, and that moment marked the beginning of her artistic journey.
Graduated as a Graphic Designer from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Cecilia moved to Maui, Hawai’i, in 2001. There, she dedicated over a decade of her life as the Art Director and Senior Graphic Designer of the renowned magazine, Maui no Ka ‘oi (The Best).
Her skills transformed this 80’s-looking magazine into a sophisticated publication that received numerous accolades, including “Best Regional & State Consumer Magazine” at the prestigious Maggie Awards (U.S. Mainland), “Best Series of Photographs” at the Pa‘i Awards (State of Hawai‘i), with a stunning spread design featuring Maui’s Night Sky, “Best Overall Photograph,” and “Excellence in Design.”
Ceci’s talent was further recognized when she was featured at the Adobe Photoshop Keynote Opening event in Orlando, Miami. Her winning photograph was voted on by the Adobe creative team and participants from all 50 states in the United States.
In the art world, Ceci’s exceptional work was honored with a special award at a conservation art exhibit at Viewpoints Fine Art Gallery on Maui. This recognition marked the beginning of her professional career in fine arts. Living in this beautiful and special place has nurtured Ceci’s lifelong connection with nature, passion for color, design, art, and photography.
She has absorbed the richness of Hawaiian culture and developed a deep connection to it.
Since then, Ceci has showcased her art at various locations in Mexico, including the Riviera Maya & Los Cabos.
Throughout her career, Ceci has sold her art to both foreign and local customers. She has also established herself as a renowned Architecture & Portrait photographer in Los Cabos. Her expertise lies in capturing the essence of high-end homes in prestigious communities such as Puerto Los Cabos, Palmilla, Querencia, Cabo Del Sol, and Pedregal, among others.
Life has taken Ceci to diverse places, allowing her to gain valuable experience, acquire exceptional clients, and expand her career.
